Hi Marie, Pauline just sent me your story about your mother hanging out the washing. Great memories of when we were children and neighbors. I couldn't but shed a tear as I have great memories of her. One in particular has stayed with me throughout the years. Once when we had nothing for supper and my mam asked for something to feed us, your mother gave us a fresh loaf of bread and a tin of beans~ I can still taste that fresh loaf and the hot beans to this day. She was a true neighbor, may she RIP, Love Anne J.

Dear Marie, I have just finished reading your book Evening Rose and I just wanted to tell you how beautiful and delicate I found the book the be. I loved so much all of the familiar characters and the way their stories were told so respectfully. I couldn't believe that Tom died so soon, I had hope he might someday fall in love with Rose. Anyway just wanted to say thank you for the wonderful contribution of your writing. All the best, Joanna Kelly.
